Summer incoming!

Been enjoying the warm weather and have been gearing up for my last field season doing research for my PhD! It's a lot of work, but I hired a great field tech who has been helping me repair field gear, organize stuff, and just be generally helpful.

I was able to submit one of my dissertation chapters to a journal today for peer review, which is a huge achievement considering how much reformatting we had to do to make it eligible for this particular venue. Damn you ridiculously small word count caps! Here's to hoping it doesn't immediately get desk-rejected by the journal editor.

I also managed to get a plot in a free local community garden, so I'm hoping I'll get a nice harvest of fruits and veggies come the end of summer. Other than than, just trying to keep my head above water as I try to finish up my research and graduate. 🫠
